1. The Boat Ride & Anticipation

The adventure starts on the boat, where the excitement builds. It’s a great opportunity to talk to children about what they might see and review safety rules before hitting the water. The kids are geared up in their life jackets, ready for the open ocean.

2. Taking the Plunge

Moving from a pool to the ocean can be a big step. The water is deeper, there are waves, and it’s a new environment. Watch as the kids confidently make their entry into the ocean, using the skills and comfort they’ve built up over time.

3. Encountering Sea Turtles

The highlight of the trip! The clear waters of Waikiki are famous for Green Sea Turtles (Honu). Seeing these gentle giants in their natural habitat is a magical reward for the little swimmers. It’s amazing to see how calm the children remain while sharing the water with such large creatures.

4. Confidence in Open Water

Throughout the video, you can see the kids having a blast—smiling, waving, and looking comfortable in their life jackets. This “water happiness” is exactly what early swimming lessons aim to cultivate. Whether it’s floating or actively swimming, they are at ease in the big blue.

Final Thoughts

Swimming in the ocean is different from the pool, but the foundation of breath control, balance, and confidence remains the same. Experiences like this show just how rewarding those weekly swim lessons can be!
